Sony Promoter League Released Beta Launch

I would like to release the beta of Sony Promoter League to all of Sony HK promoters.

In Closed Beta version (before), I mainly focus on general layout for reading. Existing things are fine. Features include:

• Recent Event Calendar - Make use of Google resources. You can see the schedule of promoter activities.
• Highlighted Topics - One for each team plus one for all.
• Labels - Related topics (tags). Good for filtering posts.
• Useful Links - External links for web site you may find useful.

In Beta version (from now on), the codes and scripts in the blog will be review. Hopefully, jointing the forces from VAIO and DI team, more features can be added.

Additionally, I would like to open the reply features. It allows all of you to reply, suggest or enquire on related topics. However, for the interest of team and company, all messages should be control:

• After you reply in the post, your message will be stored but will not be released.
• We will review each of the message and then release it in the blog.
• We will try to release ALL message, ONLY except it is harmful to the company and the teams.

Viewing with the Sidebar

At the right hand side of this blog, you can see some extra features called "sidebar". In the sidebar, in the close beta status, you will see:

• "Highlighted Topics" - ONE highlighted topic will be provided for each team (AV, PV and VAIO);
• "Labels" - Also known as "tags". Each post may stick with a number of (more than one) labels. To maintain easy surfing experience, most of the posts will be at least labeled by either AV, PV or VAIO. You can click these basic labels for your team messages. I will move these basic labels as top bar when the label structure becomes complicated. (I'm considering adding a feature called "Category", which each posts only fall into 1 topic category)
• "Useful Links" - As you see; and
• "Blog To-Do List" - It is our to-do list related to this blog. Any suggestion from you may be recorded into this list, and the tasks will be sorted by priority.
• In extract, you can also see the achieves of all posts and authors' profiles.

One of the reasons I choose Blogger.com as our site's BSP (Blog Service Provider) is very customizable layout and post management. Therefore, it is possible to add or create any feature you want. But I may need your help, especially you are good in computer language (e.g. java-script, I'm "script fish" actually).

Remember, one man can't do all the things! Your suggestion is important to us. Any information or even little features (e.g. clock, weather forecast) you want to see, hit us a mail (your team supervisor). We will follow up then.

Kick Off!! Sony Promoter League

Dear all,

I would like to kick off our brand new weblog, named "Sony Promoter League". The purpose of this blog is to update and share information among Sony promoters, and to enhance communication, spirit and loyalty in product team & company.

Currently, this site is in "close" beta test stage. That means the features will be limited but they will be released from time to time. In this stage, messages will be limited to single direction:

• Team Supervisors -> Promoters

Therefore, no comment is allowed now, but it will be available soon! Others, only supervisors of the promoter teams can write messages in this blog. For development processes, please see the sidebar for more details.

Hopefully our promoters can make use of this valuable online resource. Enjoy! :)
